Gavin Morgan
Extended-stay hospitality management company Reside co-founder Lee Curtis has stepped down as CEO, the company announced Monday. He has been replaced by Gavin Morgan, managing director of Resident parent company Westbridge Capital, effective immediately.
Curtis, who has served as CEO of Reside since 2017, will remain on the company's board of directors. He also will serve as Westbridge's "entrepreneur in residence," a role in which he will "provide strategic insights and guidance across the firm's investment portfolio, with a particular focus on the hospitality sector."
Reside in October announced a 10-year partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts that would allow Wyndham to add its Wyndham Residence brand on some Reside properties, making them available in Wyndham's distribution channels and guests with stays eligible for Wyndham Rewards loyalty points.
Morgan has more than 30 years of experience in n real estate and investment management, including stints at JLL and CBRE.
Westbridge CEO Mike Meekins in a statement called Curtis' leadership "instrumental in shaping the company's success and reputation." Meekins said of Morgan, "his global perspective and strategic acumen align perfectly with our vision, and we are confident in his ability to propel the company forward, notably with Reside's recent alliance with Wyndham Hotels."
Morgan is charged with "expanding Reside's footprint, enhancing client experiences, and further strengthening its position in the corporate housing industry," according to the company.
