Uber has launched train-ticket bookings in the Uber app in India via a partnership with India-based online travel agency Ixigo, the mobility company announced Tuesday.
The new feature enables riders to book train tickets and check their passenger name record status within the Uber app, according to the company.
The launch "builds on Uber's presence at railway stations across India," which includes dedicated pick-up and drop-off zones in Ahmedabad, Secunderabad and Howrah, and "to many new big railway stations soon," according to Uber.
