Navan has added dining discovery and reservation capabilities into its AI concierge tool Navan Edge via a partnership with restaurant tech OpenTable, the company announced.
With the integration, Navan Edge can make restaurant suggestions using a traveler's live location and itinerary, with the capability to learn for past reservations and remember a traveler's preferred cuisines and dietary restrictions according to Navan. The tool also can remind travelers to book a dinner reservation in advance of their trip before restaurants in business hubs fill up.
"We've all been there: You finally check into your hotel, only to spend 45 minutes toggling between different apps to find an ideal dinner spot," Navan chief executive officer of growth Yoad Shraybom said in a statement. "With Navan Edge, we're giving everyone a personal assistant and concierge that completely handles the ground game—with context from your location and preferences."
Navan said it is planning to add additional capabilities to the integration, including the ability to book group and private dining as well as automatic adjustments to reservations as flights and meetings times change, the company said.
Navan launched Navan Edge earlier this year as an AI assistant built on its data and infrastructure that is open to any traveler. It launched with hotel bookings capabilities and now also can handle flights and loyalty optimization.
