Mexican low-cost carrier Volaris has added a new ancillary giving enhanced rebooking and refund options during trip disruptions via Hopper Technology Solutions, the companies announced.
With HTS' Disruption Assistance offering, travelers facing a delay of at least two hours or a canceled flight on the day of travel can either rebook travel on Volaris or another carrier with the fare paid by HTS or request a full refund of their flight cost while keeping the disrupted flight. Rebookings and refunds are handled with a self-service tool.
Travelers can buy the option when booking through Volaris' website, and pricing depends on the selected route and other factors, according to HTS.
Other carriers that have added HTS' Disruption Assistance include Frontier Airlines, Porter Airlines and Wizz Air.
