Center, a startup slated to launch this summer that combines traditional payment and
virtual card technology, has changed CEOs. Former VP of
product development and co-founder Naveen Singh has assumed the CEO position,
replacing Dietmar Wennemer, who will become COO. Previously,
Center's leadership team collectively fulfilled the COO role.
In addition to guiding product management, Singh will lead
the company's growing team and will be responsible for strategy, partnerships
and product innovation. Before co-founding Center, Singh, who is also the son
of Concur CEO and co-founder Steve Singh, worked in product and business
development at Concur. Steve Singh, who announced he would leave Concur at the end of April, is Center's chairman.
Naveen Singh
said that Wennemer served as CEO while the company was building its hardware
and product development teams. "As primarily a technology organization, we
were able to operationally align around a product strategy that we set out as a
leadership team. Now that we are close to getting to market, we are rounding
out the expertise in our organization, and it is a natural time to appoint a
new CEO," Naveen Singh said.
