Business travel spend growth is expected to rise above 6 percent in 2018, thus ending an "era of uncertainty" among corporates regarding spending, according to the GBTA BTI Outlook, an annual research project by Rockport Analytics on behalf of the Global Business Travel Association. For 2018 and beyond, the report signaled "renewed optimism" among corporates, thanks to an uptick in global trade, expected improvements both in manufacturing and in emerging markets, and shifting currency dynamics.
