Travel and expense platform Travel Code has launched AI agent capabilities specifically for travel management companies and travel desks, the company announced.
The agent, Robert, can perform TMC operations through chat, such as analytics, identifying tasks that need attention like confirmations and cancellations and work on orders, according to Travel Code. Changes appear as a card showing the previous and new values, and agents must confirm changes in order for them to be enacted.
Companies also can set parameters around Robert in managing disrupted flights, including handing off cases to agents or rebooking automatically—which is an exception to the requirement for agent approval to actions, according to Travel Code.
Agents can access Robert throughout the platform and via Slack, Microsoft Teams and Telegram, as well as via ChatGPT and Claude through Travel Code's Model Context Protocol server. The agent acts with the user's login, so it does not have capabilities beyond that of the user, the company said.
