Uber as of today will include its Uber One membership program on the platform of its Uber for Business corporate division, the company announced Tuesday.
With an Uber One subscription, members can receive unlimited free delivery on orders for food, groceries and more with a $15 minimum order from an eligible store. They also can get 5 percent off eligible rides, deliveries and pickup orders from participating businesses. In addition, members receive "priority service," which can include top-rated drivers on rides and $5 in Uber Cash if the "latest arrival estimate" is wrong.
The corporate discount price for Uber One varies, depending on several factors, according to Uber, and membership includes monthly and yearly subscription options. The Uber One discount, however, is not available for rides booked 30 minutes or more in advance or for shared rides.
Uber One benefits apply to both personal and business orders, according to Uber.
Uber in a statement suggested that since "organizations are embracing new, flexible work models for a diverse set of employees with new expectations," Uber One could serve as an enhanced employee benefit. The company added that clients also could layer Uber One on top of an existing meal or rides program through Uber for Business.
