Wheels Up on Nov. 1 will offer a new corporate member program geared toward small and midsize companies, the private aviation provider announced Tuesday.
Dubbed Up for Business, the program is supported by a dedicated corporate sales team and is designed for companies that spend at least $250,000 in private travel services, according to Wheels Up. The new SME program is a supplement to the Customer Enterprise Solutions option for larger, high-volume companies. In that program, corporations have two tiers of membership: those that make a $500,000 deposit, or those that deposit $1 million or more.
The new program will offer a "significantly" reduced deposit, initiation fee, annual dues and contract term of 18 months, a new round-trip discount and unlimited lead passenger designees, according to Wheels Up. Members also will have access to a second aircraft on the same day once per quarter.
Up for Business companies that make a $250,000 deposit will receive one Delta Air Lines Diamond Medallion loyalty status designee, and companies that deposit more than $300,000 will receive two designees. Members also will have the ability to use funds on deposit for both private travel with Wheels Up and commercial trips on Delta flights.
Delta is a major investor in Wheels Up, and the companies have been partners since 2020, when Delta Private Jets merged with Wheels Up.
"Wheels Up is an integral part of Delta's portfolio of premium, corporate flight solutions providing unique benefits to our respective and joint customers," Delta SVP of global sales Bob Somers said in a statement. "The Up for Business customer is an important segment within the total addressable market for business travel."
