JetBlue has named former Spirit Airlines executive Vijay Raman to VP of sales and revenue management, effective immediately, the carrier announced Monday.
Raman is responsible for revenue optimization, ancillary strategy, distribution and corporate sales, and he reports to JetBlue SVP of network, revenue and enterprise planning Daniel Shurz, according to the carrier.
Raman most recently was head of pricing at MoneyGram International. Prior to that, he spent seven years at Spirit where he was senior director of revenue management, according to JetBlue. He also previously worked at American Airlines in sales strategy and revenue management.
