Finnair has updated its winter 2022-23 schedule as "travel continues to recover," and to accommodate the closure of Russian airspace, the company announced Tuesday.
The carrier will fly between Helsinki and 77 destinations, including five cities in the United States, 10 destinations in Asia and 62 destinations in Europe. It also will offer service to the U.S. and Thailand from Stockholm.
"We are happy to see travel recovering at a rapid pace, and our winter network caters to the needs of both corporate and leisure travelers," Finnair chief commercial officer Ole Orvér said in a statement.
U.S. routes from Helsinki will include daily flights to New York-JFK, three flights weekly to each Los Angeles and Miami, and four flights weekly to each Dallas and Chicago. From Stockholm-Arlanda, Finnair will fly three times weekly to each New York-JFK, Los Angeles and Miami.
Finnair's new Premium Economy class and renewed long-haul cabins will be available on routes between New York and both Helsinki and Stockholm, according to the carrier. Finnair also has canceled its flights to Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo-Haneda and Sapporo in Japan because of the closure of Russian airspace.
