More than two years after Delta Air Lines unveiled its New Distribution Capability strategy, the airline is preparing to launch an NDC solution by the end of 2026, a carrier spokesperson told BTN.
Delta on Wednesday also shared this information at its customer meeting in Atlanta at the Delta Flight Museum, according to the airline.
The carrier has begun active live agency testing "as we continue to make progress on integration with our [global distribution system] partners," according to Delta, which said it would support multiple connection methods "to meet customers in their channel of choice."
The carrier has NDC distribution agreements with Amadeus, Sabre and Travelport, as well as select direct connections, according to Delta. In addition, American Express Global Business Travel has agreed to include Delta's NDC offers in the Amex GBT marketplace, Delta also previously announced it was working with Accelya, Airlines Reporting Corp., the International Air Transport Association and Google as its NDC solution design partners.
In November 2025, Delta managing director of sales and innovation Sara Reid told BTN that the carrier had begun its NDC testing phase and integrations and was settling orders with ARC. "Our big focus as we move into 2026 is all about change and making sure that we are providing the best-in-class customer service," she said at the time. "Once we feel like we have it right, we'll have a public launch."
Delta's current NDC capabilities "are progressing through the final stages of preparation, bringing us closer than ever to delivering a new way to shop and service Delta content," according to the airline.
The carrier said it would host its next Delta Business Showcase event in late September, where executives will announce more on NDC launch timing and its updated roadmap.
