Delta Air Lines will offer annual account reviews for SkyMiles for Business Elite customers and plans to add unlimited name changes for a fee in early 2027, the carrier announced Wednesday. Elite is the highest tier of Delta's business loyalty program, which is geared toward small and midsize companies.
Each Elite customer now receives "proactive annual outreach" from its dedicated account team to schedule an account review, according to Delta. Previously, customers primarily initiated interactions through inquiries and requests. The review assesses program performance, including earning activity, redemption strategies, benefit utilization and opportunities to capture additional value through SkyMiles for Business.
In 2027, Delta plans to offer Elite customers access to unlimited name changes for a fee, allowing them to reassign eligible travel when needed. Customers also will receive an allocation of "service points," a new feature for corporate members that can be redeemed for ticketing and travel flexibility, including name change fee waivers, advance purchase waivers and overbooking requests.
Traditionally, agency partners would rely on their own service-point budgets to support customer servicing requests, according to Delta. Under the new model, Elite customers will receive their own dedicated allocation from the carrier. Agency partners may submit service-point requests on behalf of customers through Delta's global sales solutions team.
In 2025, Delta introduced new account management support tools for SkyMiles for Business, expanded its unused ticket transfer program and added the ability for select SkyMiles for Business members to redeem earned miles for eCredits that can be applied to travel agency bookings via global distribution systems.
Delta announced the changes in Atlanta during its annual Spotlight livestream event for SkyMiles for Business Elite customers and agency partners.
