About a year after Avianca expanded its new Insignia business-class cabin to more than 80 routes on its Airbus A320 aircraft, the carrier this week announced it would introduce in 2027 new suites and enhanced service on its Boeing 787 aircraft that serve destinations in Europe and New York.
The redesigned suites will include sliding privacy doors for the cabin's lie-flat seats. Additional enhancements will feature Meridian noise-canceling headphones, a pajama and slipper set designed by Colombian brand Maaji, an amenity kit created in partnership with Mola Sasa and inspired by the female artisan community of Chimichagua with products from Loto del Sur, and a new menu created by chefs Alvaro Clavijo from El Chato and Rafael Buitrago from Elvia Barichara served on new tableware.
In addition, customers will receive priority service at Insignia by Avianca Check-In in Bogota and access to VIP lounges, according to Avianca.
Further, Avianca announced it will renovate its International Gold Lounge at El Salvador International Airport.
