Expense management platform Expensify has expanded the availability of its commercial card offering to 13 markets outside the U.S., including the U.K. and several markets in Europe, the company announced on Monday.
The expansion for the Expensify Card product, which is on the Visa network, in addition to the U.K. includes: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Gibraltar, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Sweden, the company said. The company noted the card includes built-in VAT tracking and reporting as well as connection with business accounts at any bank in Europe or the U.K. Other features include instant visibility into purchases, automatic matching of receipts to transactions, spending limit capabilities and single-use virtual cards.
In a blog post, Expensify founder and CEO David Barrett said card availability "is perhaps the most common request we've heard from thousands of international customers."
In its most recent earnings report, Expensify said interchange revenue from its card product had grown 10 percent year over year. The company said expanding the card's footprint is part of a larger push into global markets, complemented by a "bring your own card" program that supports corporate cards from more than 10,000 banks around the world.
