CWT Appoints Bob Briggs As Exec. VP Bus. Dev./Mktg. North America

Minneapolis-based mega agency Carlson Wagonlit Travel today named Bob Briggs its new executive vice president of business development and marketing for North America.

Working in the travel industry for more than 27 years, Briggs served as president of National Car Rental Systems Inc., and most recently was executive consultant with IBM Global Services for its travel and transportation practice. In his new post, Briggs will be responsible for managing sales, the CWT solutions group and brand marketing operations.

The position of executive vice president is a new one at CWT, said company spokeswoman Mollie Quinn. Briggs will handle some areas that previously fell under the jurisdiction of president of CWT North America Robin Schleien, to whom Briggs will report.
