Air Canada has launched shuttle service between the Palais des congrès de Montréal and Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, the carrier announced Monday. The service is an expansion of airline's multi-modal partnership with The Landline Company and is valid for passengers traveling on the same day on an Air Canada-operated flight departing from the airport.
Air Canada City Shuttle motorcoaches have 48 reclining leather seats and operate 37 daily frequencies. When departing from downtown, customers have a dedicated waiting area.
The shuttle to the airport will run every 15 minutes at peak hours (4:45 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.) then every 30 minutes until 9 p.m. It will depart the airport every 15 minutes from 5:15 a.m. to 6:45 a.m., then every 30 minutes until the final departure at 10 p.m.
At the airport, the Air Canada City Shuttle will pick up passengers curbside at door seven of the departures level. Customers can pre-book a trip or board at the airport, subject to availability, according to the carrier.
The price is $9 one way, plus applicable taxes. The buses will use a "dedicated high-occupancy vehicle lane and a private airport entrance," which the carrier said could save customers up to 25 minutes at peak times compared with airport access roads.
The shuttle service, however, does not include "route protection." If a passenger misses their Air Canada flight due to a delay on the Landline ground segment, Landline will "make reasonable efforts to notify the carrier of the delay and affected passengers, when operationally possible," according to operator's website. Customers are advised to contact Air Canada reservations department. "Re-routing is at the sole discretion of [the carrier] and is subject to its policies."
