Expensify has added a consolidated billing option for its travel booking solution, the company announced.
With the consolidated billing option, companies can pay for all their travel spend on a single monthly bill rather than having to issue corporate cards to each traveler, according to Expensify. Companies receive detailed statements with trip, traveler, merchant and booking information and can settle with a designated bank. It also comes with an automated credit card authorization form for hotel bookings.
"Central billing cards have long been the default solution for companies that don't want to distribute corporate cards to employees, but they often introduce new challenges around reconciliation, visibility and administration," Expensify CFO Ryan Schaffer said in a statement. "With consolidated travel billing, we've reimagined central billing for modern travel programs, giving companies the convenience of centralized payment with a much simpler management experience."
The consolidated billing option is available to U.S. customers of Expensify Travel.
Expensify launched its travel platform, built on Spotnana's technology, in 2024. Earlier this year, the company reported "strong customer adoption" for its travel offering, with bookings in the fourth quarter up 434 percent year over year compared with a year prior, when it was in a more limited release mode.
