Travel technology platform Oversee has launched New Distribution Capability reshopping capabilities with FCM Travel, enabling EDIFACT bookings to be converted to NDC bookings when the rebooking is beneficial, the companies announced.
The solution, which FCM and Oversee—formerly FairFly—are rolling out to mutual customers, identifies those EDIFACT bookings for which an NDC booking would be better for the company while adhering to policy, and automates the steps to make that rebooking. FCM will continue to provide servicing and support for the booking following the conversion, and companies receive data on the conversions to help craft their strategy, according to the companies.
That provides "corporate travel teams with the value of NDC without added operational complexity," Oversee CEO and co-founder Aviel Siman-Tov said in a statement. "Together with FCM Travel, we're making NDC reshopping practical at scale, meeting programs where they are today with automation, data and reliable service."
Oversee and FCM said they are coordinating for "phased rollouts" of the joint solution for their mutual customers.
