Singapore Airlines has agreed to purchase up to 4,800 metric tons of "next-generation" sustainable aviation fuel from Project Beacon, Aether Fuels' new production facility in Singapore, the carrier announced Wednesday.
The SAF will be produced from waste carbon feedstock, including biomethane and industrial waste gases, using Aether's proprietary Aether Aurora technology, according to the airline.
The deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2028 and cover a three-year period. Singapore Airlines did not disclose the value of the deal.
