Travel management consultancy GoldSpring Consulting has acquired Travel Tech Consulting, a move that will expand GoldSpring's offerings in tech optimization and digital strategy for clients, the companies announced.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Travel Tech Consulting was founded in 1995 by travel technology expert and former travel buyer Norm Rose. While Rose recently announced his retirement, he will be working with GoldSpring as a part of the transition, although not in a client-facing role. He will be a "GoldSpring resource" to help consultants guide clients amid the fast changes brought about by agentic AI and other technology disruptions, GoldSpring partner Will Tate said.
He will be helping GoldSpring with private research as well, he said.
"Norm has been a leading technologist not only on the corporate side, but he sees a lot of the leisure trends as well … and has seen around corners years and years in advance," Tate said. "Part of this connection was to make sure we offer that same thing for our customers. We're integrating not only his vision but his thought processes and technology insights into what we're doing for all of our clients."
Rose said his role within GoldSpring, which Tate said has grown by double-digit percentages in terms of clients and revenue over the past four years, will be to "supplement and steer" consultants, which in turn he hopes helps empower buyers to shape the rapid changes underway with agentic AI.
"The role of consulting in this era is going to be crucial, and corporate buyers who sit on their hands and say, 'Let's just see how this all shakes out,' are going to be left behind," Rose said. "The buyer has a lot more power and a lot more ability to influence the future than they're often given credit for. What we're trying to do is really spur innovation here."
