Perk has established a strategic partnership with lodging distribution and payments platform Katanox, the companies told BTN Monday.
The partnership gives Perk access to Katanox's platform to streamline how hotel bookings are made, paid for, reconciled and settled. The two companies also will collaborate to broaden Perk's network of hotel partners through Katanox.
"Hotel booking is changing, and there’s a huge opportunity to make the experience
smarter from end to end," Brina Wadsworth, Perk senior director of global hotel supplier partnerships said in a statement.
Katanox uses an account-to-account payment infrastructure that reduces the need for card-based payments for hotel bookings. Its platform connects hotels and travel agents to bring together payments, reconciliation, settlement and distribution.
Katanox first began pursuing travel management company partnerships in 2022, positioning itself as a challenger to global distribution systems that would allow travel sellers to create bundled offers for services and amenities. Among the TMC partners listed on the company's website are Lanes & Planes and Navan, while its hotel partners include Travelodge, Hilton Worldwide, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Premier Inn.
