U.K.-based budget hotel chain Travelodge is expanding its access to travel management companies via an integration with travel technology platform Katanox, the companies announced.
With the integration—which includes Travelodge's back-end payment, booking and connectivity functions—Travelodge will have the ability to connect with "many more TMCs" and to display a wider variety of room and rates with visuals and descriptions, the companies said. TMCs also will have the ability to make changes to bookings, including dates, with the integration.
Travelodge has a portfolio of 600 hotels, totaling 47,000 rooms, across the U.K., Ireland and Spain.
"Our partnership with Katanox means we can significantly extend our reach to more TMCs and provide our business customers with an even better experience and greater choice of options," Travelodge sales director Nick Jacobs said in a statement. "By using Katanox’s technology, we can ensure that TMCs see the latest and most up-to-date content on our hotels and have a smoother and easier user experience, making us even more competitive in the market."
Navan is the first TMC to use the Katanox integration to access Travelodge content, which Michael Riegel, Navan CEO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said was "another important step" in "giving customers complete access to inventory, no matter where it comes from."
