Extended Stay America has introduced a package of service and amenity commitments designed for business travelers and business travel managers, the extended-stay hotel company announced Tuesday.
Dubbed Client Connect, the offering, available now to all business travel clients, includes commitments for dedicated account management, discounts that increase along with the length of stay and a direct-bill program. The company said the program was geared toward "construction crews, traveling nurses, military personnel and other professionals with extended stay requirements."
Extended Stay America chief commercial officer Kelly Poling told BTN that the new service package is designed to formalize offerings that the company in many cases already was offering business travel clients into a service commitment.
ESA's move comes at a time when the largest U.S. multibrand hotel companies are introducing new extended-stay products, but Poling said the increasing competition still could prove beneficial, given what she called the significant number of business travelers who use traditional transient hotel for extended stays.
"I do think that there is something beneficial about there being additional focus on the extended-stay space because I think we're collectively educating customers on the benefits of the business," Poling said. "And once you grow the size of the pie for customers, we stand to benefit the most as a leader and the pioneer in the space."
