Swissotel Hotels & Resorts has revamped its Club Swiss
Gold preferred traveler program into a three-tiered, stay-based loyalty program
called Swissotel Circle. In a model similar to such programs as Omni Hotels'
Select Guest Program, Swissotel Circle members do not accrue points but rather
earn amenities based on the frequency with which they stay at company
properties.
Guests who stay at least five nights earn "Inizia"
status, which includes complimentary spa and gym access, priority waitlist
status as well as one-time "rewards" redeemable for upgrades or other
free amenities. At the "Eleva" level, earned after 20 stays within a
year, guests receive such amenities as free Internet access, free breakfast and
executive lounge access. Guests who stay in at least two Swissotel properties
for a total of at least 60 nights earn "Zenit" status, which includes
free upgrades, equal status for a spouse and awards redeemable for free stays.
