Kempinski Hotels CEO Barbara Muckermann reportedly has left her role at the European luxury hotel company, along with a handful of other C-suite executives.
Cruise industry veteran Muckermann joined Kempinski as its first female chief executive in 2024. Her departure coincides with the exits of chief brand officer Barbara Biffi and chief human resources officer Karin Raguin, according to Skift. The outlet also reported the resignation of CCO Massimo Brancaleoni, though it was unclear if he had yet left the company.
The C-suite turnover follows other recent changes. Last month, Kempinski named Andrea Vanni, a luxury real estate veteran and member of its supervisory board, as CFO, replacing Gordon Drake.
The company also promoted Noel Attard, its former chief transformation officer, to chief development officer, replacing Frank Veenstra. Attard was the architect of the group’s new strategic direction. At the time, Kempinski said in a statement that the appointment aimed to ensure “seamless business continuity” while capturing growth through “targeted acquisitions, management contracts, branded residences and brand debuts in priority and emerging markets.”
Kempinski did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
As of Sept. 30, Kempinski operates 74 properties across 33 countries around the world, with more than 20 projects under development.
