United Airlines on March 15 will resume its daily service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Tel Aviv, Israel, the carrier announced Tuesday. United also plans to add a second daily flight on the route on March 29.
The resumption follows a "detailed assessment of operational considerations for the region and close work with the unions who represent our flight attendants and pilots," according to the carrier. The route will operate with Boeing 787-10 aircraft.
United joins Delta Air Lines and other global carriers which also have announced a resumption of services to Tel Aviv. American Airlines has not announced a Tel Aviv service resumption date.
