TripIt, SAP Concur's travel organizing app, has expanded the reach of its Neighborhood Safety Scores, which it provides through travel and safety risk assessment provider GeoSure.
The scores, which show a neighborhood's risk on a 100-point scale, now provide safety details for train stations, ferry rentals and car rental companies' pick-up, drop-off and shuttle locations, in addition to previously provided data around hotels and activities, according to GeoSure CEO Michael Becker.
The scores, which GeoSure determines through analyzing data across hundreds of sources, can be seen both as an overall risk score and for specific categories such as risk of theft and safety for women or LGBTQ travelers.
Through TripIt, travelers also can set their own personal risk level, and TripIt will notify them if a destination exceeds that risk level.
