Travel authorization clearance technology Intellivisa has raised $3 million in pre-seed funding to scale its platform, an AI engine that helps travelers work through visa, entry and compliance requirements, the company announced.
Intellivisa integrates with the post-booking flow of airlines, travel management companies and online travel agencies to guide travelers through a step-by-step process of ensuring they have proper travel authorization, according to the company. It determines what authorization is required, and its AI agents can complete forms and submit authorizations as well as handle payment, filing and refunds with the traveler.
That provides an alternative for travelers trying to figure out authorization requirements themselves or paying an agency to do so, according to Intellivisa CEO and co-founder Sudeepa Singh.
"Intellivisa replaces that guesswork, paperwork and manual work with AI agents built directly into the travel experience," Singh said in a statement. "This round takes us beyond visa processing and toward full-stack clearance. Our goal is to make Intellivisa the step no traveler skips before boarding, so every traveler arrives at the airport already cleared."
Mu Ventures and Incisive Ventures led the funding round for Intellivisa, and other participants included Uncommon Denominator, Recursive Ventures and P2S, a joint investment program launched by funds including AltaIR Capital and Smart Partnership Capital. United Airlines Ventures also was listed as an investor.
