Spotnana has partnered with Air Canada to enable booking of both the carrier's New Distribution Capability content and flights with Air Canada Flight Pass credits in its platform, the travel technology company announced.
The Flight Pass offering lets travelers purchase a prepaid package of one-way flight credits within a certain geographic area, and redeeming those credits in the corporate booking ecosystem traditionally has required manual workarounds, according to Spotnana. With the integration, travelers can use the credits to book directly in the Spotnana platform and select seats within the booking flow, the company said.
Flight Pass is particularly popular among Canadian business travelers because it brings price predictability, Spotnana senior director of content and distribution Seth Anagnostis said in a blog post.
"It can be challenging for fully remote or hybrid companies to plan offsites due to fluctuating fares," according to Anagnostis. "With Flight Pass integrated into their workflow, companies can plan gatherings in advance with fixed-cost certainty."
Spotnana's NDC integration with Air Canada enables access to continuous pricing and negotiated fares as well as service-service exchanges and cancellations and the ability to manage unused credits. It also enables travel management companies using Spotnana to offer synchronized servicing, according to the company.
