Prism Group today said it has signed a contract with the Oneworld airline alliance to license the Prism sales management system for data analysis to structure corporate deals.
Oneworld manager of corporate sales Eileen Yeager today said the Oneworld Management Co., through which alliance deals are structured, plans to implement the Prism sales management system within 90 days. As such, the alliance will use the system to analyze corporate data for alliance deals. Yeager said, "All ten Oneworld carriers fully support the alliance approach with Prism," noting that any new carriers joining the alliance also would adopt the system for Oneworld deals.
Several carriers within the alliance, including American Airlines, Japan Airlines and Qantas, already use Prism for individually structured corporate deals, though British Airways has been a notable holdout, relying instead on its own internal systems.
Though the contract systems used by Star Alliance carriers vary, depending on the lead carrier, Prism also serves as the lead system for SkyTeam contracts
