Hospitality tech company Mews has struck a partnership with Uber to embed ride booking, live tracking and guest billing directly into its property management system, Mews announced Tuesday.
The integration would enable hotels to offer Uber transportation as part of the stay rather than leaving guests to arrange it independently, something Mews stated "can drive additional ancillary revenue" to properties.
According to Mews, hotel staff would be able to request rides on behalf of staff, monitor trips in real time and automatically post charges to the guest folio via Mews payments. Guests would also be able to book their own rides through the Mews guest portal.
The Mews-Uber integration is in development, according to Mews, and a pilot of the service is expected to launch this year.
Prague-based Mews provides software for hotel PMS, points of sale, revenue management, housekeeping and payments.
