Lyft Business has developed a program to help companies manage the return of employees to offices.
The Lyft Pass program lets companies pay for rides for essential employees, customers or guests, with those riders booking rides within the Lyft app. Companies can customize rules and restrictions around the ride program—such as limiting rides to certain locations or certain times of day—and set credit or spending limits within the Lyft Business Portal.
Lyft already has been working with health systems including CommonSpirit Health, Henry Ford Health System, the University of Maryland Medical Center and Amita Health to help transport essential healthcare workers as well as Kroger and other retailers for their employee transportation, according to Lyft.
In May, Lyft introduced a health and safety program to reduce Covid-19 risk during rides, including requiring facial coverings for drivers and passengers and requiring a health certification from riders and drivers before every ride.
Some travel managers during the pandemic have been tasked with leveraging their travel supplier relations to help their companies' employees safely return to offices and worksites, according to a series of springtime discussions with travel managers hosted by BTN.
