Southwest's first four airport lounges will be airports in Austin, Baltimore/Washington, Honolulu and Nashville, the carrier announced Wednesday.
Construction has begun on the lounges, with opening dates projected for late 2027. Southwest anticipates opening seven more lounges "over the next several years across high-demand business and leisure markets."
The carrier is developing lounges in partnership with branded credit card partner Chase.
Access to the lounges will be available via a new premium Southwest Rapid Rewards credit card issued by Chase, which will launch in 2027, according to the carrier, which declined to share additional entry requirements.
"More details on access and eligibility will be available closer to opening," according to a Southwest spokesperson.
