July 2026 Announcements
For the week ending July 3
Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia's new second national carrier, on July 30 will launch service between Riyadh and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the carrier announced July 1. Flights will operate three times weekly.
TAP Air Portugal has launched nonstop service between Lisbon and Athens, Greece, the carrier announced July 1. The route operates five times weekly with Airbus A320neo aircraft.
American Airlines on March 27, 2027, will launch daily, year-round nonstop service between Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Tokyo Narita International Airport, the carrier announced July 1. Flights will operate with Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Through American's Pacific Joint Business Agreement with Japan Airlines, customers also will have access to one-stop connecting service to additional destinations in Asia. In addition, American in November will launch Chicago-Charlottesville, Va., service, and in December flights between Chicago and Ontario, Calif.
Flydubai has launched daily service between Dubai and Bangkok's Don Mueang International Airport, the carrier announced July 1. The carrier also in June launched flights between Dubai and Benghazi, Libya, operating three times weekly.
United Airlines on Dec. 17 plans to operate new flights between Cartagena, Colombia, and each Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport, the carrier announced June 29. Each route will operate year-round four times weekly with Boeing 737 aircraft.
Condor Airlines has launched service between Frankfurt, Germany, and Cairo, Egypt, the carrier announced June 29. Flights operate daily with Airbus A320 aircraft.
Philippine Airlines on Oct. 2 will resume nonstop Manila-Dubai flights, the carrier announced June 29. The route initially will operate four times weekly, with plans to increase to daily service "as operational considerations allow."
AirBaltic this winter will extend its Tallinn-Vienna service to year-round from summer seasonal, the carrier announced June 29. Flights for the summer operate three times weekly. Winter flights will operate two times weekly, according to AirBaltic.
EVA Air has launched its nonstop service between Taipei and Washington, D.C., the carrier announced June 26. The addition is the 10th North American gateway for EVA. Flights will operate four times weekly with Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
