April 2026 Announcements
For the week ending April 30
Delta Air Lines has extended its suspension of Atlanta-Tel Aviv service through Nov. 30, the carrier announced April 29. New York JFK-Tel Aviv service still is planned to resume Sept. 6. The launch of Boston-Tel Aviv flights continues to be delayed until further notice.
Alaska Airlines has launched its nonstop Seattle-Rome flights, the carrier announced April 28. Seasonal service will operate through Oct. 23.
United Airlines has extended its Middle East flight suspensions. The route between Newark and Dubai now is suspended until July 11, and flights between Newark and Tel Aviv are suspended until Sept. 7. Flights between Tel Aviv and each Chicago and Dulles continue to be suspended until Oct. 23 and Oct. 24, respectively.
For the week ending April 24
American Airlines on April 30 will resume service to Venezuela with daily flights between Miami and Caracas, the carrier announced April 20. American previously served Venezuela from 1987 to 2019, when it suspended flights to the country. Flights will operate on Embraer 175 dual-class aircraft. Tickets are on sale.
Flydubai on July 1 will launch service between Dubai and Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, the carrier announced April 20. Flights will operate daily. The new route also will be operated as a codeshare with Emirates.
British Airways has launched new service between London Heathrow and St. Louis, the carrier announced April 20. The route will operate four times weekly for the summer season. St. Louis is the 27th U.S. destination for the British Airways network, according to the carrier.
For the week ending April 17
JetBlue has launched new seasonal nonstop service between Boston and Barcelona, the carrier announced April 16. Flights will operate daily with Airbus A321 aircraft and include JetBlue's Mint product, featuring lie-flat private suites.
Philippine Airlines plans to launch on Nov. 9 nonstop service between Manila and Chicago, the carrier announced April 16. Flights will operate three times weekly with Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The Chicago route will be the airline's eighth destination across the U.S. and its territories, according to Philippine Airlines.
Virgin Atlantic has launched daily direct service between London Heathrow and Seoul Incheon International Airport, the carrier announced April 14. The route will operate with Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Aer Lingus launched flights on April 13 between Dublin and Raleigh-Durham, N.C. The service will operate up to five times weekly with Airbus A321XLR aircraft, according to the carrier.
For the week ending April 10
Condor Airlines will add four new European destinations to its schedule for summer 2026, the Germany-based carrier announced Thursday. The Frankfurt-London Gatwick route launched on April 1, while the other three routes—Frankfurt and each Barcelona, Budapest and Venice—are scheduled to being in early May, Condor announced April 9. Each of the four routes will operate three times daily.
In addition, Condor has partnered with Visit Frankfurt to offer a stopover program. The stayover hotel package includes one-night accommodation including breakfast and the option for a complimentary lunch or dinner and a Frankfurt Card valid for two days of free and unlimited use of the city's public transportation system, according to Condor.
Etihad on June 26 will launch seasonal service between Abu Dhabi and Dhaka, Bangladesh, the carrier announced April 8. Flights will operate four times weekly through Oct. 24 with Boeing 777 aircraft configured with 28 business-class seats and 374 economy seats.
For the weeks ending March 27 and April 3
Virgin Atlantic on March 29 launched flights between London Heathrow and Seoul. The route was made possible through the reallocation of slots at Heathrow following the merger of Korean Air and Asiana. Virgin also confirmed it has terminated its route between Heathrow and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which had launched in April 2025, due to the "evolving situation in the Middle East."
Air France on March 29 launched twice-daily service between Paris Charles de Gaulle and London Gatwick airports. Flights are operated with Airbus A220 aircraft. It is the first time Air France has flown to or from Gatwick since 1996.
SAS on March 27 launched daily flights between Copenhagen and Istanbul. Flights operate with Airbus A320neo aircraft configured with 180 seats.
JetBlue on July 8 will launch daily service between Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Cleveland, the carrier announced March 26. JetBlue also announced increased frequencies to begin July 9 for nine other Fort Lauderdale-based routes, including flights to each Atlanta, Newark, Las Vegas and Philadelphia.
Air India has launched new service between Delhi and Rome, the carrier announced March 26. The nonstop route will operate four times weekly, and Rome is Air India's eighth gateway in mainland Europe and the second destination in Italy, along with Milan.
Delta Air Lines further has extended through Sept. 5 its suspension of New York JFK-Tel Aviv and Atlanta-Tel Aviv flights, and Boston-Tel Aviv service is delayed until further notice, the carrier announced March 25. Delta initially had planned to launch the Boston service in October.
