JetBlue's new BlueFirst first-class cabin, set to debut later this year, will include 12 to 16 seats with up to seven additional inches of legroom, the carrier said Tuesday. The airline announced the new cabin in December 2024.
The new cabin will include 12 first-class seats on JetBlue's Airbus A220 and A320 aircraft, while A321 aircraft will feature 16 seats, according to the carrier. Retrofitting of aircraft is expected to be completed by 2028.
The seats will be arranged in a two-by-two configuration and offer five inches of recline and up to seven inches of additional legroom compared with JetBlue Main cabin seats. They also will have 13.3-inch seatback screens with Bluetooth connectivity, and in-seat USB-A, USB-C and 110VAC power. The cabin will include free Fly-Fi high-speed internet access.
On overnight flights, BlueFirst customers also will receive a blanket and amenity kit, according to JetBlue.
In addition, the cabin will introduce seatback ordering and an interactive "mixologist mode" for customers to create a custom cocktail, a meal in a bento-inspired box, rotating types of snacks and, on flights of 899 miles or longer, a meal selection with an entrée, side and dessert.
BlueFirst customers will receive Group 1 boarding, dedicated overhead bin space, priority check-in and access to an expedited lane to security checkpoints at more than 30 airports.
