Delta Air Lines from May 19 will discontinue snack and beverage service on routes under 350 miles outside of first class, the carrier confirmed Tuesday.
Flights under 250 miles already have no such service, so the change will represent about 9 percent of daily flights, according to Delta. On flights of 250 to 349 miles, Delta Comfort and Main passengers already were receiving an "express service" of water, coffee, tea and two snack options.
At the same time, customers in Delta Comfort and Main on flights of 350 miles or more that previously were offered express service will receive full beverage and snack service, which is an increase for about 14 percent of daily flights, according to the carrier.
There are no changes to service in Delta First.
