Matt Long
Delta Air Lines has promoted director of international customer experience strategy and integration Matt Long to managing director of Europe and Africa, effective immediately, Delta confirmed.
Long succeeds Matteo Curcio, who retired in fall 2025 and had been SVP of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. Delta did not provide an update on who would head up the Middle East and India regions.
"Matt will continue to elevate Delta's position across Europe and Africa through an intense focus on operational performance, customer experience enhancements, engagement with our corporate customers in the region, long-term infrastructure and product planning as well as continued work with our joint venture partners to ensure seamless integration across the travel ribbon," according to a Delta spokesperson.
Long, who is relocating to Amsterdam from Atlanta for the new role, has been with Delta since April 2013, save for a nearly two-year stint at Aeromexico from 2018 to 2020 where he was VP of customer experience design and VIP lounges, according to Long's LinkedIn page. Long had been in his previous Delta position since November 2022.
