Delta Air Lines has established a partnership with Lysol parent company RB to enhance its hygienic protocols, the carrier announced.
Delta plans to work with Lysol to develop "new, innovative disinfecting solutions" throughout the passenger journey, identifying cleaning procedures for aircraft lavatories as the first area of focus. Lysol microbiologist and germ-killing experts also will work with Delta's recently formed "global cleanliness organization" to develop disinfection protocols for such high-traffic areas as gates and Delta Sky Clubs, and Lysol will provide products including disinfectant spray and wipes to Delta to clean high-touch areas.
In recent weeks, Delta also announced a partnership with Mayo Clinic to minimize Covid-19 transmission. United Airlines has put together a similar partnership with Cleveland Clinic and Clorox.
