WestJet and its majority owner, Onex Partners, have completed the sale of 25 percent of the airline to Delta Air Lines, Korean Air and Air France-KLM, the Canada-based carrier announced Wednesday. The deal had been announced in May.
Under the terms of the agreements, Delta acquired a 15 percent stake and Korean Air acquired a 10 percent stake in WestJet from Onex. Delta then sold a 2.3 percent stake to its joint venture partner Air France-KLM, bringing its holding in WestJet to 12.7 percent.
