Department of Homeland Security Acting Secretary
Elaine Duke swore in David Pekoske as administrator of the Transportation
Security Administration. Pekoske was the U.S. Coast Guard's vice commandant
from August 2009 through May 2010 and more recently was president of the national
security group of A-T Solutions, an anti- and counterterrorism professional
services firm. The U.S. Senate unanimously confirmed Pekoske earlier this
month. Former TSA administrator Peter Neffenger, also a former Coast Guard vice
commandant, stepped
down earlier this year.
