Peter Neffenger, administrator of the U.S.
Transportation Security Administration, is stepping down from his position as
President Donald Trump is inaugurated today. Since his appointment in June
2015, Neffenger led a significant increase in trusted traveler program
enrollment and worked with airlines to automate security lines in busy
airports, for which he was named one of BTN's
2016 Top 25 Most Influential. The Trump administration bears responsibility
for appointing his replacement.
