Travel management technology provider TripStax has added new AI capabilities to its Analytics module, including natural language generation and query features for users to access and understand their data more easily.
The new natural language query feature lets users ask questions about data via a Google-style search interface and generate charts and analysis on the Analysis platform. The natural language generation capability provides text narrative summarizing charts and identifying key data trends. Users can also model "what-if" scenarios from the platform's machine learning and predictive analytics capabilities, according to TripStax.
Other new features to Analytics include capabilities to help users reach sustainability goals and requirements, such as a carbon budget feature, cost and carbon savings analysis of switching from air to rail and a comprehensive carbon analysis across all travel categories, the company said.
TripStax, developed by travel management company ATPI and later spun off as its own independent company, offers several modules, including Analytics, that operate from a central data core, which pulls and normalizes data from multiple sources. The company said the Analytics enhancements are the first in several phases of investments it plans to announce in the coming months.
