Travel technology supplier TRX has allied with expense management reporting supplier Databasics to link online booking and expense reporting for the companies' customers. It's the second such alliance TRX has announced in recent months.
The partnership will allow data integration with TRX's ResX booking tool and Databasics' ExpenSite reporting service, cutting down on data-entry needs and enhancing reporting and benchmarking data for expense managers. The two companies aim to complete the integration during the third quarter of this year.
"Open systems integration allows corporations to pick the best-of-breed solution for each component of the expense management value chain and build out the integrated solution that supports their business needs," Databasics president Alan Tyson said in a prepared statement.
The partnership is the latest example of suppliers working to provide a complete end-to-end tool for travel and expense management. Although Concur Technologies and KDS have directly combined booking and expense tools, others have set out to do it through partnerships, including Gelco Expense Management, which also has partnered with TRX for that purpose
(BTN, April 23)."It seems each partner we integrate with provides market insights that enable the development of capabilities to provide even greater value to corporations seeking integrated travel and expense management solutions," said Shane Hammond, president of ResX Technologies. Hammond told BTN that a third partnership announcement with an expense management supplier is pending. Databasics, meanwhile, already has partnered with NuTravel Technology Solutions to integrate with its CTS online booking tool
