Travel management companies using white-label apps provided by mTrip now can integrate alerts from travel risk specialist Riskline into those apps, the companies announced.
The alerts provide information on disasters, health issues, terrorism, crime and political and economic stability, along with a risk assessment level for a given area, with detail as granular as street-level. Riskline also offers pre-trip guidance on destinations, including "cultural, historical or religious context that a traveler may need to be aware of," according to the company.
Safety and risk alert services, such as Riskline, have taken on new importance for many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the months since the global outbreak began, a number of existing alert services have added capabilities to track and monitor the spread of the coronavirus, while the pandemic also has spurred the creation of entirely new monitoring services from risk management specialists and travel management providers alike.
