Corporate spending on Dinova's network of restaurants increased 6.9 percent year over year in the first quarter of 2016, according to Dinova. Transactions and average check values also increased 4.9 percent and 2 percent year over year, respectively. "Restaurants recognize the value of the business diner, and our companies are recognizing the value of a preferred supplier program for dining," Dinova founder and CEO Vic Macchio said when asked why spend increased. Dinova also signed 183 independent restaurants and two chains: Corner Bakery, located in 24 states and Washington, D.C., and Bravo Brio, located in 30 states. Existing restaurant groups also are adding locations.
