Expense management platform Expensify has expanded the capabilities of its Concierge AI technology, including reporting and policy-configuration abilities, the company announced.
Users via Concierge AI now can generate charts and explanations around spending by employee, category, reporting period and other parameters with natural language prompts, according to the company. They also can perform expense management tasks via chat, including creating, editing, approving and rejecting expenses, and administrators also can create and manage policies and rules through the tool.
In addition, Expensify has enabled cross-channel access for the Concierge tool, meaning users can interact with it by email and text message as well as the Expensify app.
"With Concierge AI, customers can simply ask a question or make a request in plain English, whether they're replying to an email, sending a text or using the app," Expensify founder and CEO David Barrett said in a statement. "Concierge can understand the request, complete the work, explain what it did and keep improving over time."
Expensify said it is beta testing "autonomous workflow agents" as well, which can perform expense management tasks following customized instructions and leave an audit trail for review.
