Spend and expense management technology Extend has partnered with PNC Bank to enable the bank's commercial clients to access its mobile and web platform, the companies announced.
With the Extend platform, PNC commercial clients can issue and deliver virtual cards from their accounts to employees, guests and vendors, which can then be added to mobile wallets. They can track costs via the virtual cards and set limits and controls around their spending to comply with budgets and approval workflows, according to Extend.
"By collaborating with PNC Bank, we're giving clients the flexibility to issue and track virtual cards directly through their existing accounts," Extend CEO Andrew Jamison said in a statement. "Whether it's managing subscriptions, empowering employees or making secure vendor payments, this partner makes everyday business spend easier to control."
Extend, which in recent months announced it has secured $20 million in additional capital from its latest debt and equity round, said it's embedded in more than a dozen banks across the U.S. and Canada. Listed bank partners include American Express, BMO and HSBC.
