Rosenbluth To Offer Global Security Software
Rosenbluth International has announced it is about to launch travel security-related products for travelers and travel managers. Known collectively as the Global Security Suite, Rosenbluth officials said the products have been under development since early last year, but the events of Sept. 11 accelerated their progress to market.
The first product, expected to be rolled out Feb. 15, is an online global database providing comprehensive information on every country worldwide, from security warnings, health issues and safety information to economic history, political structure and guidance on etiquette.
This will be followed "in the next 60 days," according to Rosenbluth, by a push-technology service offering real-time notification of such important developments as labor strikes, weather emergencies and airport problems. Information will be pushed to travelers according to the destinations they have booked.
Also to be launched within 60 days will be an application that Rosenbluth claims will allow travel managers to pinpoint the whereabouts of travelers within seconds. Travel managers also will be able to generate a list of all travelers in any city and even list the hotels where they are staying--if they were booked through Rosenbluth. "On Sept. 11, it took us hours to find information that will now take us seconds"" said chief marketing officer Kimberly Harrington-Martinez, adding that Rosenbluth is able to provide such a system because it is the only travel management company in the world with its own global data warehouse.
